Preface
ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) is a border security force in the United States which has extreme human rights violations and concentration/internment camps for undocumented detainees and is generally despised by all immigrant communities due to their substantial racial profiling. Protests continuously happen throughout the country to oppose regular ICE raids.
2020 Protests
Protest in Bend, 12th of August, 2020
The protest in Bend started after 2 undocumented immigrants were detained by ICE and put on a bus. One person stood in front of it, and soon, more and more people joined until the crowd was about 50-strong. Later on, ICE would detain many in the crowd and encircle and tear gas them.
Protest in San Francisco, August 14, 2020
The protest in San Francisco was more organized, at the ICE HQ in the city, demanding that the agency stop deporting people in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Rose City Antifa Attack on Portland ICE Facility, August 20th, 2020
Protesters from Rose City Antifa protested outside of Southern Portland ICE Facility until they were attacked by DHS agents and assaulted until they were dispersed, on the night of the 20th of August. Several protesters were injured, and dozens were shot by rubber bullets fired indiscriminately at protesters.
