Waukegan residents took to the streets after the police murder of Marcellis Stinnette, a 19-year-old black man with a child who was shot to death inside his own car along with his girlfriend, who was gravely injured. Over 100 protesters attended the spontaneous demonstration.
Demonstrations began against both the grand jury decision to not convict the killers of Breonna Taylor and against the mayor the city who has cracked down many times on protests.
