Dozens of protesters gathered in Washington D.C. for the weekly FTP march organized by the They/Them Collective, demanding justice for Xzavier Hill, a teenager killed by state police in Charlottesville on the 9th of January. The MPD harassed the demonstrators, trailing them in nearly equal numbers on bikes, before demonstrators dispersed mostly without issue.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Tunis to demand the release of all prisoners of the recent uprising in the country, as well as to demand economic sovereignty from European neocolonialism and the ruling class. Police attacked the demonstration, injuring and arresting several peaceful protesters in the crowd.
Thousands of students took to the streets of Thessaloniki to protest a law passed by the Ministry of Education which would create a university police force for the first time since the fall of Greece’s military junta. Near the end of the demonstrations, clashes between demonstrators and police occurred, with Molotov cocktails and tear gas being thrown.
