Demonstrators demanded his immediate removal from office and prosecution for supporting a seditious movement.
Hundreds of protesters gathered for a People's March near the Minnesota governor's mansion in St. Paul, demanding āCash not covidā, āCommunity not copsā, āPeople not pipelinesā, and āPolitics without Proud Boysā. Several signs were seen demanding justice for Dolal Idd, as well as in opposition to the Line 3 Tar Sands Pipeline.
Hundreds of antifascists gathered in San Diego to counterprotest a pro-Trump rally going on in Long Beach, clashing with both Proud Boys and police who were far more aggressive towards the anti-Trump side. Pepper spray was used by several sides, with injuries occurring in sporadic fights that took place throughout the confrontation.
About 40 protesters gathered in front of the Trump International Hotel in New York City against the violence in Washington and the attempted insurrection by Trump supporters. Demonstrators held letters spelling "TRUMP IS GUILTY", demanding his resignation; police then attacked the protest, making several arrests against the completely peaceful crowd in a seemingly harsher crackdown than against the insurrectionaries at the Capitol.
Washington D.C. antifascists gathered at the Holiday Inn to protest against the corporation's allowance of Proud Boys to rent rooms, and allegedly providing discounts to them as well. The demonstration occurred in advance of the January 6 March to Save America, in which thousands of Trump supporters will descend on the capital.

Several clashes broke out, with pepper spray being used and a shield wall being formed.

Over 200 antifascists gathered to counterprotest a Proud Boys rally to 'Stop the Steal' in Sacramento, standing off with the MAGA side and throwing projectiles. Police shot foam bullets at the antifascists, who were then attacked by a Proud Boy with a knife, who promptly fled the scene after being chased by a dozen counterprotesters.
Dozens of antifascists gathered for a Smash Fascism protest in Olympia, the Washington state capitol, in which slightly larger amounts of and far more aggressive Proud Boys & Back the Blue supporters gathered to attack them. Brawls with both sides using pepper spray quickly broke out. Shots were fired by a Proud Boy, with a protester injured by the bullet.
