Police Attack Bergen County Abolish ICE Protesters

Police attacked Abolish ICE demonstrators at the Bergen County facility who were protesting in solidarity with the prisoners inside performing a hunger strike. Cops were filmed targeting a black protester, then arresting him.

The Ridgewood for Black Liberation organization later stated that he had been released, but sustained injuries during the assault by police.

Protesters state that demonstrations will continue despite police brutality and attempted suppression, and many expressed outrage online as a result of the police response.
