The nurses of the Albany Medical academic health sciences center went on strike after complaints of having to reuse N-95 masks and were locked out of the hospital after attempting to unionize. At 7:00 P.M., more nurses were locked out after they attempted to return for the night shift. The NY State Nurses’ Association stated that nurses only wanted a fair contract, and would continue demonstrations until this was done.

Protesters took to the streets for Sean Kealiher, an anarchist killed by police earlier this year. The protest was flare themed, hence the name ‘Light The Sky for Sean’. It was a success, with no protesters arrested, and no police officers making it there in time to stop the demonstration.
