The nurses of the Albany Medical academic health sciences center went on strike after complaints of having to reuse N-95 masks and were locked out of the hospital after attempting to unionize. At 7:00 P.M., more nurses were locked out after they attempted to return for the night shift. The NY State Nurses’ Association stated that nurses only wanted a fair contract, and would continue demonstrations until this was done.

About 15 Trump supporters in Philadelphia turned out at an anti-mail in protest, with about 100 counterprotesters arriving at 8 A.M. No clashes occurred, although many confrontations did, with counterprotesters dancing for hours on end to keep the Trump rally occupied.
Protesters returned to the Bergen County Jail in solidarity with imprisoned migrants put in detention at the facility, demanding their release and amnesty for all arrested protesters during the clashes of December 12 that resulted in multiple arrests.
