Hundreds of antifascists took to the streets of Sofia to counter the annual Lukovmarch that took place in the capital of Bulgaria, in which fascists from across Europe commemorate the pro-Nazi general Lukov who served the monarchy of Bulgaria.

Thousands of partygoers gathered in Huntington Beach, in Los Angeles, after organizing online, dubbing the event ‘Adrian’s Kickback’. Protesters took to the streets in Santiago on the anniversary of the murder of Communist Revolutionary and singer Victor Jara by the US-backed fascist Pinochet regime. Victor Jara, a militant of the Chilean communist party, was arrested after the US-backed far-right coup against Salvador Allende and brutally tortured until being shot 44 times by regime forces on the 16th.
Over 150 protesters in the town of Volos marched in solidarity with the hunger strike of Dimitris Koufontinas, moving through the heart of the city and throwing paint at the office of a New Democracy MP, Christos Boukoros, before finishing the demonstration and dispersing for the night.
Thousands of students from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul gathered at the South Campus to protest against the installation of a new university rector by the Islamist AKP ruling party. Police responded by firing into the peaceful crowd with rubber bullets and tear gas, arresting several demonstrators.
