The families & supporters of the 200,000 people in the United States who have died to the COVID-19 pandemic gathered at Central Park in New York City to protest against President Trump’s handling of the crisis, which managed to cause both economic collapse as well as hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Hundreds of protesters across Chile marched against the approval of the new open-pit Dominga mine, which threatens the ecosystem of the Humboldt Archipelago, one of the most biodiverse in the world. After it was approved, widespread clashes occurred, centered around La Serena, the capital of the Coquimbo region in which the mine was being built.
Strong clashes occurred in the town of Cañete during a demonstration in support of Mapuche political prisoner Oscar Pilquiman, an indigenous activist framed for a robbery in 2019. Police attacked the crowd with water cannons and tear gas, while protesters returned the favor with Molotov cocktails.

Dozens of students in the northwestern Greek city of Ioannina took to the streets during a national mobilization against a bill proposed by Education Minister Niki Kerameos, which would remilitarize university campuses with an elite police squad. Despite a ban on gatherings in place, police did not attack the demonstration.
