Dozens of people gathered in separate areas of popular neighborhoods, such as Hay Ettadhamon, Kabaria, Sidi Hassin, Hammam-Lif, Kalaa Kobra, Manzel Bourguiba, Siliana, and many more.
Thousands of protesters gathered in the streets of Nantes for the weekly March of Liberties, demanding the complete dissolution of the Global Security Law, which would illegalize the filming of police officers. Police deployed water cannons and tear gas, with heavy clashes occurring in front of the city prefecture, resulting in several arrests.
Protesters gathered in the central Greek city of Volos on the 6-month anniversary of the death of Vasilis Maggos, a 27-year-old who was mysteriously found dead one month after being brutally beaten by police at an environmentalist demonstration against burning trash. Vasilis had been left with many ribs broken until he was close to dying from asphyxiation and dehydration; police then took him to a freezer and gave him water drop by drop.
Dozens of protesters gathered in the Athens neighborhood of Petralona in remembrance of Shehzad Luqman, a migrant worker from Pakistan who was stabbed to death in 2013 on his way to work by 2 supporters of the Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn. Despite police harassing the protesters, the march went forward and no arrests were made.
