Teachers, social organizations, and other groups went on strike in Antofagasta in solidarity with political prisoners held captive for months during the Chilean uprisings of 2019 and 2020. Prisoners have been kept in isolation, not being allowed to see their family for months using the coronavirus as a cassus belli, a practice which many psychologists consider a form of torture.
