Dozens of protesters in the Villa Francia area of Santiago took to the streets on the Day of the Youth Combatant, in which 2 young activist brothers were murdered by the Pinochet dictatorship. Demonstrators placed barricades and clashed with law enforcement, throwing Molotov cocktails at water cannons and other militarized vehicles.
Members of the Lafkenche community belonging to Mapuche indigenous ethnic group in Chile burned barricades and protested in the Los Pellines sector to demand their land back and the removal of deforesting/real estate machinery from their territory.

Hundreds of protesters gathered for a march in Elizabeth City demanding justice for Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man killed by police with assault rifles, a day before his body would be put to rest. Groups from all over the region made a presence, with the march being one of the largest so far.
