Protesters gathered across Kurdistan in response to the cutting of paychecks by a government coalition in Iraq, with the death toll rising to 8 people killed by police or peshmerga, including 3 children, who were 11, 13, and 15. The roads of Kalar, Slemani, and other cities were blockaded by angry demonstrators prepared to fight back against the Iraqi Kurdistan government.
Protesters in Penjwen marched to the office of the Bashmax border point, where politicians are known to frequently smuggle items across the border to and from Iran.
