Dozens of protesters in the San Joaquín neighborhood of Santiago took to the streets on the Day of the Youth Combatant, burning barricades and clashing with police in confrontations which ended with a bus being set on fire and burned.

Hundreds of students gathered at the Propylaea in Athens to protest against the planned reintroduction of police onto college campuses, as they had been banned since the Polytechnic Uprising of 1973.
