Protesters across Poland, from Krakow to Gdansk, took to the streets against an abortion ban by the PiS (Law and Justice Party). The government has pulled back on the ban for all fetuses except those with Down Syndrome, which has helped calm the clashes but not the protests.
Thousands of farmers continued to gather at Ica, burning barricades in the Panamerican highway and effectively shutting down most travel in Peru. The cities of Parcona, San José de Los Molinos District, Santiago, Tate, and Pachacútec all had their access roads blocked, and Lima remained shut off from the rest of the country. Workers from the province of Pisco also went on strike, joining the Panamerican blockade in Ica.
