Hundreds of Jamaicans from the southwest St. Ann parish blockaded roads used by a bauxite company in protest over dust and noise pollution experienced from “Sunday to Sunday”. Rumors also broke out that old bauxite pits would be opened again after decades which were closer to town and community centers. If this was done, many expect more frequent protests.
