Demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at police and burned barricades, shutting down areas of the city before later dispersing with no arrests made.
Hundreds of protesters in Khartoum gathered on the 2-year-anniversary of the Khartoum Massacre, in which Sudanese security forces killed over 128 demonstrators and raped several dozen in 2019. Barricades were placed and tires were burned, before police and the military arrived, killing 2 participants and injuring dozens of others.
The graduate students of the University of Chicago enacted a strike about a week ago, to switch back to an online curriculum and stop placing the lives of the professors at risk. The University of Chicago has insofar contacted courts to complain about the strike and a lack of ‘education for undergraduates’, but the strike continues at the moment.
Thousands of protesters gathered in Berlin to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the murders of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, marching through the center of the city. Multiple arrests were made, as police attacked the peaceful demonstration and assaulted people with impunity.
