Thousands of Peruvian farmers returned to blockade the Panamerican highway, the most important transport of goods and trade across the country. Agricultural workers made the decision to renew the protest following the failure of Congress to reach an agreement to reform the sector and address concerns over insufficient pay.
Protests had also occurred early in the month, causing Congress to take up the matter, but negotiations fizzled out.

Hundreds of demonstrators marched in New York City as part of the weekly Stonewall Protest demanding justice for black lives and all other victims of police brutality in the United States. Despite a heavy police presence, no confrontations nor arrests took place.
