German Activists Block Access Roads in Dannenrod Forest Against Deforestation

About 250 anarchists and environmentalists gathered at the Dannenrod activist-occupied forest in Germany to block deforestation crews from carrying out their operation. The German police had often harmed activists that were protecting the forest, cutting rope and making many of them fall, sometimes sustaining injuries too.

A spokesperson for Ende Gelände, an environmentalist group that occupies coal mines, stated:

We have succeeded! Today not a single tree will be cut down because we are blocking the clearing with 400 people!
Whoever builds a highway in the climate crisis is in conflict with the entire climate movement! In the Danni, we fight for the change of traffic!
