Chilean protesters gathered in Talcahuano to demand the resignation of right-wing President Sebastian Piñera and amnesty for all political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising. Following through with the tradition of burning puppets of Piñera as they did on the 2020 New Years’ demonstrators lit a caricature of him on fire with gasoline.

Anarchists in Portland attacked the city’s Public Schools Headquarters, torching multiple school district vehicles, breaking office windows, and scrawling graffiti on the walls of the headquarters. Demonstrators participated in the action as part of the Youth Liberation Front’s call to action on the 6th of March against capitalism and the state.
The University of California in Berkeley put up a fence around the People’s Park, which was founded by radical activists in the 1960s and inhabited by a houseless camp; in response, students protested at the site and tore down the fence, moving it to the university’s entrance in a statement to the administration that any attempt to restrict access to the area would not be tolerated by the community.
Hundreds of protesters in Santiago took to the streets to demand free tuition for all university students, starting off the day by placing barricades in the Pudahuel commune. Demonstrators then marched to Plaza Dignidad, where they were subjected to intense repression by police who used water cannons and tear gas on the crowd that had been peaceful until then.
