Thousands of protesters marched in Yangon on the 6th day of civil disobedience in opposition to the military coup in Myanmar, demanding the restoration of civilian rule to the Southeast Asian country marred by a dictatorship led by the armed forces that lasted for decades until the early 2010s.

Hundreds of engineers, teachers, and students went on strike to demand the fall of the Myanmar military regime that installed itself in a coup on the 1st of February. Demonstrators gathered at the Monywa University of Economics, Kan Gyi Dauk, MOALI, Pyay University, Yadanapon University, and Dawei, consisting of university students, civil servants, and professors.
Dozens of protesters in Yangon returned to the streets at nightfall, banging pots and pans and blocking roads in opposition to a military coup carried out on the 1st of February against the elected leader of Myanmar, Su Chi.
Around 30 protesters gathered in Yangon in opposition to the military coup in the country, chanting slogans against the country's army and in support of Myanmar's civilian leader who was elected and in control of the government in the country's first-ever democratic era.
Thousands of people in Myanmar went out on their balconies and the streets to bang pots and pans and blare their car horns in opposition to the military coup that had occurred just 1 day before against one of the first civilian leaders in the country's history.
