Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of Cali on the first day of a general strike against a tax hike on basic goods and services in Colombia. After police attacked the crowd, widespread looting and attacks on police stations and other government targets became rampant, resulting in the fiercest protest of the day.
Around 1500 protesters in Stuttgart marched in solidarity with anarchist and communist political prisoners in Germany, highlighting the case of a student called Lina in her 20s who has been detained for months by the German government for her activist background.

Dozens of protesters marched for a 2nd day in Rochester after the perpetrators of Daniel Prude’s murder, several police officers, were not charged. Prude had been suffocated after police put a hood over his head in March 2020, which started massive protests after body camera footage of the incident came out.
Hundreds of students gathered in Patras to demand the repeal of a bill proposed by Greek Minister of Education Niki Kerameos, which would restore police to university campuses. Demonstrators proceeded to march to Georgiou Square, hanging banners in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike.
