200 protesters marched on Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s house from 6th & Irving, demanding he rejects offers of becoming Secretary of Transportation under President-elect Joe Biden. Demonstrations continue as Biden comes close to picking his cabinet, with a name expected in a few days.
Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Encarnación, the 3rd-largest city in all of Paraguay, demanding the government’s resignation after the collapse of the healthcare system, with medicine at a critically low level and elective surgeries stopped altogether. Demonstrators gathered at the Plaza de Armas in the Colorado District, burning barricades and singing chants against the standing regime.

Although vastly outnumbered, antifascists provided significant resistance, clashing throughout the night. 3 people were stabbed by Proud Boys-affiliated groups, and dozens of injuries occurred on both sides.

Despite the militarization of the small town, no confrontations occurred between law enforcement and demonstrators.
