Hundreds of protesters gathered in the Bonilla district of Antofagasta to protest for the resignation of Chilean President Sebastian Piñera and amnesty for all political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising.
Police responded with heavy-handed repression, using chemically-tainted water cannons against demonstrators and firing tear gas and rubber bullets towards the crowd.

Protesters in Portland took to the streets on the night of October 10th, and were arrested after mere minutes of the demonstration starting. About 20 were arrested, many of which were marked street medics. There was no unlawful assembly declared, so it is unclear what charges are being filed.
