Peruvian Farmers Continue Panamerican Blockade Protest For Better Wages

Thousands of farmers continued to gather at Ica, burning barricades in the Panamerican highway and effectively shutting down most travel in Peru. The cities of Parcona, San José de Los Molinos District, Santiago, Tate, and Pachacútec all had their access roads blocked, and Lima remained shut off from the rest of the country.

Workers from the province of Pisco also went on strike, joining the Panamerican blockade in Ica.
