Thousands of farmers continued to gather at Ica, burning barricades in the Panamerican highway and effectively shutting down most travel in Peru. The cities of Parcona, San José de Los Molinos District, Santiago, Tate, and Pachacútec all had their access roads blocked, and Lima remained shut off from the rest of the country. Workers from the province of Pisco also went on strike, joining the Panamerican blockade in Ica.
Protesters in Antofagasta returned to the streets on the birthday of Piñera, the widely hated President of Chile, demanding his immediate resignation. The march went through Bonilla in the city, with heavy police repression almost immediately occurring. Protesters then returned in the hundreds for the night march, which was not attacked by police.
