Manchester Rent Strike Ends After University Cuts Rent by 30%

Students in the University of Manchester Rent Strike celebrated the end of protests in the first semester after rent was cut by 30% in a concession made by university leadership, by officially de-occupying Owens Park Tower. They stated that the January rent strike would still go ahead, however, if more concessions were not made.
