The Los Angeles People’s City Council (LAPCC) took to the streets after the meeting between civilians and the police department, demanding the defunding of police, as well as the resignation of the current mayor of LA. At least 500 protesters attended the march that lasted for more than an hour.
Hundreds in Santiago marched in honor of Itan and Tamara, both children being victims of gun violence in Chile, one killed by stray bullets from an unknown assailant and another by police during a gunfight. Demonstrators marched to the La Moneda presidential palace, asking why police resources were spent attacking protests instead of stopping gun violence.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in the Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos to continue the second wave of protests that began on the 5th against SARS, after the first wave which ended soon after the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre on the 20th of October. Demonstrators did not clash with police, and occupied the main road to Ikeja for hours before dispersing.
