20-35 demonstrators in Portland arrived at the ICE facility for a 144th day, with DHS agents and police under the Unified Command almost immediately bullrushing the crowd and arresting two protesters. No unlawful assembly was declared, even though the protest was dispersed very quickly. the charges were later thrown out.

Prisoners were protesting the government plan to transfer prisoners to American-style “F-type” cells holding 1-3 occupants, in response to which 10,000 soldiers violently occupied 48 prisons to end 2 months of hunger strikes by hundreds of political prisoners. At least 31 prisoners were murdered by the Turkish government, 8 others were disappeared, and 426 prisoners were wounded. 1005 prisoners were then caged in the F-type cells.
