Thousands of antifascists gathered in Washington D.C. to counterprotest a pro-Trump rally organized by the Proud Boys, with clashes ensuing throughout the entire day and the night ending with 4 stabbed and 23 arrested. Antifascists managed to provide a much larger resistance than the previous Million MAGA March.
Thousands of protesters took to the streets across Cali, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Tributary Reform in Colombia, which would enact new taxes on basic goods and services for the lower and middle class in Colombia. Police responded with brutal repression, killing at least 7 protesters and firing indiscriminately with live rounds and tanks.
Massive protests engulfed the capital of Thailand, with many demonstrators being students and anti-monarchy activists. The crowds measured above 150,000 in attendance in Bangkok alone, and several clashes occurred with police after protesters insulted the queen, which in the Kingdom is punishable by life in prison.
About 150 protesters marched on the ICE facility in Portland to demand the immediate abolition of the agency, which new President Biden has expressed his opposition to doing.
