Members of the York South-Weston Tenants Union in Toronto gathered in the dozens to protest against COVID evictions carried out by their landlord, Starlight Investments, which owns more than 60,000 units in Canada.
Demonstrators met up at Weston Road, giving speeches, and condemning Starlight Investments for carrying out evictions when they would remain financially sound by providing relief to all tenants.
