Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Seattle hours after Biden was inaugurated, demanding the abolition of ICE in a direct action march of targeted destruction against companies that work with those who carry out deportations. Starbucks, a notorious pro-police company, and Amazon were both targeted during the demonstration before police showed up and brutally arrested a few people.
A protest took place on the 3rd of October in Washington D.C. to commemorate Wide Awakes Day, dedicated to turning out voters in a time when voter suppression is commonplace and many see voting as a waste of time that won’t cause change; about 600 protesters took part in the march, that went through the downtown of the city.
Hundreds of Kurds gathered in the city of Said Sadiq/Saydsadq in the Iraqi Kurdish administration, burning down all buildings belonging to the government and political parties following the suppressing of worker strikes earlier in December. Smoke clouds could be seen from miles away due to the burning of the aforementioned structures, including the town hall and municipal office.
