Dozens of protesters returned to the streets of Elizabeth City after police acquitted the police officers who shot and killed Andrew Brown in his driveway using several assault rifles. Demonstrators marched until dusk and took over several major roads and bridges, as the police trailed the protest.

Hundreds of thousands of peasants and farmers stormed the capital of Delhi, clashing with police and occupying the Mughal-era Red Fort monument for the first time in the modern history of India. Although police began to use metal poles against protesters instead of wooden batons, and seemingly unending in their brutality, it was simply impossible to contain the Kisans who received local support.
Hundreds of protesters across Sudan took to the streets, burning barricades and blocking roads in response to the killing of 2 demonstrators on the anniversary of the Khartoum Massacre, in which security forces in 2019 slaughtered over 128 anti-government activists.
Haitians took to the streets all over Port-au-Prince in the thousands on the 17th to protest against the allegedly corrupt regime of Jovenel Moise. Demonstrators set up barricades, and clashed with police, with several dozens of injuries but no deaths.
The University of California in Berkeley put up a fence around the People’s Park, which was founded by radical activists in the 1960s and inhabited by a houseless camp; in response, students protested at the site and tore down the fence, moving it to the university’s entrance in a statement to the administration that any attempt to restrict access to the area would not be tolerated by the community.
