Rioters in Leipzig, Germany, burned several military vehicles for New Year’s, during part of the traditional car-torching every January 1st that results in over 1,000 burnt vehicles every year.

Protesters in Antofagasta returned to the streets on the birthday of Piñera, the widely hated President of Chile, demanding his immediate resignation. 65 anarchists in Athens were arrested at a protest inside the Ministry of Health in solidarity with Dimitris Koufontinas, who entered a hunger strike on the 8th of January to demand his transfer to the Korydallos Prison in Athens, where he could receive better medical care and access to visitors.
