Hundreds of antifascists marched through Hamburg in protest against the trial of many arrested during the Anti-G20 riots in Rondenbarg in 2017, in which a total of 88 people were indicted for rioting. Over 3200 people were in attendance, with police unable to kettle the crowd.
Anarchists in Thessaloniki gathered in solidarity with the former 17N member Dimitris Koufontinas, who entered a hunger strike on the 8th of January to demand his transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens, where he would receive better medical care and the ability to see visitors.

Protests took place in Manisa after the closure of a mine in Soma; authorities refused to pay the Somali workers their salary after the closure of the mine, inciting a strike and subsequent protests in the area. A solidarity protest also took place in the Kadıköy region of Istanbul by anarchists.
Around 35 protesters in New York gathered at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center amid reports of cold, confined, unhealthy, and unsafe conditions inside, as well as the war on crime in the city that keeps filling up jails.
