Protesters across Chile took to the streets calling for the freedom of political prisoners that have been put in jail by the state, some since the start of the October Rebellion, from Valparaiso to Santiago. Many banner drops also occurred in smaller cities, that would have had a smaller protest population.
Dozens of protesters in Seattle gathered for a Black Lives Still Matter march, led by black abolitionists demanding the abolition of the SPD and ICE. Protesters sang chants against SPD, police, ICE, and prisons, blocking roads in order to disrupt activity as much as possible.
Following brutal police repression in Athens during a protest in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike, members of the Anarchist Political Organization and hundreds more gathered at Syntagma Square against state brutality & in solidarity with Dimitris Koufontinas.
Around 200 anarchists in Athens gathered at Exarcheion Square and marched afterward in support of anarchist political prisoner Vangelis Stathopoulos, kept in pre-trial detention for over 18 months without any conviction of crimes supposedly committed.
Hundreds of protesters in the Iranian majority-Sunni and Baloch town of Saravan set the governors’ building and several police cars on fire after government forces opened fire on dozens of fuel traders at the Iranian-Pakistani border, killing at least 37. Following government forces opening fire on demonstrators, more public buildings fell.
