Protesters have demanded a state of emergency imposed to combat femicide and human trafficking in Namibia, which suffers from extreme disappearance rates. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Windhoek, the country’s capital, to condemn the government’s lack of action on the issue.

Hundreds of Chilean protesters in the northern city of Antofagasta marched to demand the resignation of President Sebastian Piñera and amnesty for political prisoners. Speeches were first given out at the 21 of May Plaza by mothers of political prisoners, before hundreds more gathered to begin the called-for disruption.
