A protest took place in Minneapolis on the 4th of October against anti-indigenous activity by police and local fossil fuel drilling in the area. Its organizers called for a return of indigenous land to its original inhabitants, along with the abolition of police in the city, which the city council had originally promised to do but backed off from doing.
Hundreds of students, teachers. and allies in the Cretan city of Heraklion took to the streets against the reintroduction of police to universities, in a bill proposed by the Greek Minister of Education Niki Kerameos, a member of the ruling conservative New Democracy party.

Dozens of protesters gathered in the Athens neighborhood of Petralona in remembrance of Shehzad Luqman, a migrant worker from Pakistan who was stabbed to death in 2013 on his way to work by 2 supporters of the Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn. Despite police harassing the protesters, the march went forward and no arrests were made.
