Women demonstrated in Diyarbakir after the murder of Melek Aslan, murdered by her brother, whose case anarchists and other activists say will not be received with a fair trial. After the protest, the government stated that they will look further into the case and make the prosecution stronger.

Protesters took to the streets in Israel for the 17th week in a row against the corruption and human rights abuses committed by Netanyahu, with thousands of protesters crowding the streets of West Jerusalem. Many see Netanyahu as the same authoritarian strongman as Donald Trump in the US, and are frightened by the prospects of him acting as such.
Around 10,000 protesters in the Greek-controlled part of Nicosia took to the streets against corruption and nationalism preventing negotiations for unification of Cyprus, an island long divided between the ethnic Greek and Turkish ethnicities. Demonstrators demanded the resignation of the current nationalist president and the development of a plan to bring the north and south of the island together as one.
DHS Police and ICE agents cracked down on an Abolish ICE protest in Portland but making dozens of mistakes in the process. Several (estimated 3) tear gas canisters went off inside a DHS agent’s backpack, and many police accidentally hit each other while opening fire on the crowd with pepper balls and rubber bullets. About 50 people attended the protest.
Around 100 students in Rethymno protested against police repression in Greek universities enabled by the passing of a law by the Ministry of Education, which allowed police to re-enter universities for the first extended period since the fall of the military dictatorship in 1974.
