Hundreds of protesters turned out for Black Lives for a 132nd day, going through Lake Oswego; one of the wealthiest in the entire Portland metro area. A few counterprotesters arrived, but paling in comparison to the more than 500 people who turned out for the march.

Hundreds of protesters marched in Portland the day after the police murder of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a black man in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center, demanding the immediate prosecution of Officer Katie Potter. Demonstrators clashed with police at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office, but no arrests were made. Police bullrushed the crowd and shot tear gas, in response to which protesters launched fireworks.
Protesters took to the streets in Seattle for Black Lives to demonstrate against police brutality in the city that has been criticized for being unaddressed, even through the minor defunding of the police by Mayor Jenny Durkan.
Demonstrators gathered across Spain to counterprotest and march on the day of Francisco Franco’s death, the fascist leader of Spain for more than 15 years. Antifascists held thousand-strong protests in Valladolid and Canillejas, in northeastern Madrid. Many fascists also protested in several cities, inciting counter-demonstrations where they did happen.
