Demonstrators gathered in central Madrid to condemn rampant racism, of which the country has been reminded on the recent anniversary of the murder of a Dominican immigrant. About 50 protesters were in attendance, and received support for many passing through the central plaza of the city.
German anarchists protested in solidarity with 4 arrested anarchists in Belarus (Ihar Alinewitsch, Dmitri Dubowskij, Dmitri Rezanowitsch and Sergei Romanov), facing trial for “terrorist activities” and “illegal trafficking in weapons and explosives”, being held in Minsk along with many other anarchists detained for various charges.
Around 150 Portland protesters took to the streets in support of a national uprising and general strike in Colombia against corruption, wealth inequality, and police violence. Demonstrators called for the end of US cooperation with the existing regime and expressed their support with the demonstrations from abroad.
