About 30 protesters gathered in the Cretan city of Chania to protest on the 12th anniversary of the police murder of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos in Athens. Greek riot police then proceeded to attack the demonstrators, arresting at least 5 and causing several injuries.
The Nigerian state has begun a campaign of violence and massacres across the country, with SWAT and the military opening fire on protesters, murdering more than a dozen on the Lekki Toll Gate. There are also rumors that the government will shut down the internet, therefore beheading the ability of social media campaigning that the protesters currently have.
Thousands of protesters returned to Ica in celebration of the removal of the Chlimper law, an anti-labor and deregulating law passed in October 2000. Sporadic blockades continued for higher wages, but after clashes with police, the majority of striking workers and occupiers went home, as their main demand had been met by the government.
