Gainesville Abolitionists Protest At Florida State Prison After Arrest of 3

Activists from the Florida Prisoner Solidarity organization gathered at the Florida State Prison, throwing a paint bomb on the road and dropping a banner in front of the gates, saying “Next step, we burn it down!”. Dozens of protesters then gathered in the field in front of the prison, holding an Abolish Prisons banner.

The demonstration occurred in response to the arrests of 3 protesters at an earlier event, in which one had to receive stitches due to lacerations caused by police officers during the arrest.
