Protesters in Mbabane took to the streets in opposition to the government of Eswatini, the last absolute monarchy of Africa, demanding the implementation of democracy and justice for Thabani Nkomonye, a student murdered by police. Demonstrators lit fires and blocked roads, shutting down key roads in order to cause as much disruption as possible.

Dozens in Thessaloniki gathered to oppose the Greek government’s ban on protests, stating that the science shows that demonstrations do not cause an increase in coronavirus cases and simply exacerbate the extent of police repression.

Greek anarchists in the eastern Athens suburb of Zografou dropped a banner at the Athens Polytechnic University in solidarity with the 25-year-old Klodian Rasha, whose murder on the 8th of December in Albania sparked massive riots for days in the capital.
On the 5th of October, at around 1 A.M., another demonstration took place against police, albeit far smaller. Police violently assaulted protesters, and then left after realizing that the situation would not escalate without their presence.
