Dozens of protesters in the town of Livadia took to the streets in numbers of around 40 people in solidarity with the Dimitris Koufontinas hunger strike, demanding the government accept his demands to be returned to the Korydallos prison in Athens.
Around 50 protesters in Portland gathered at the city’s local ICE facility, demanding the abolition of the agency tasked with attacking and deporting undocumented migrants, as well as demanding the dismantling of the prison-industrial complex funding it.
Dozens of protesters took to the streets of Elizabeth City for a 7th consecutive day, demanding justice for Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man killed by police while driving away. Despite a heavy police presence, demonstrators remained peaceful, even following the deployment of several dozen heavily armed police officers.
