Anarchists in Alcoy in the Valencian region of Spain took to the streets in the Cals Flares neighborhood to promote self-sufficiency, unity, and direct action to strengthen communities against the state, with over 600 people participating in the march organized by Alacant Antifa and CSOA Cals Flares.
Dozens of youth protested at the town hall of the northeastern city of Akouda, waving anarchist flags and dropping banners to demand free and public education for all of Tunisia, using the phrase “You’ve fucked with the wrong generation” that became famous during the Arab Spring.
Protesters in Portland gathered in front of the North Precinct to burn American and Thin Blue Line flags, demanding justice for Walter Wallace and Karon Hylton. Police did not come out to engage with demonstrators, who then went downtown to burn MAGA items that an MLK statue had been vandalized with.
Tens of thousands of youth and students marched to the State Secretariat of Kolkata, the capital of the State of West Bengal, to decry the policies of the state government and in support of more education and job opportunities for the youth. Police brutally attacked the demonstration, making 42-500 arrests and leaving around 38-100 hospitalized.
Around 200 anarchists in Athens gathered at Exarcheion Square and marched afterward in support of anarchist political prisoner Vangelis Stathopoulos, kept in pre-trial detention for over 18 months without any conviction of crimes supposedly committed.
