Anarchists in the University of Athens School of Philosophy protested against state repression that has targeted leftist organizing by organizing a banner drop and disrupting education for hours. Confrontations with police occurred, although no arrests were made due to the legal nature of the demonstration.

Greek vegan anarchists in Athens gathered on New Year’s Eve to protest against speciesism and brutality on animals, by the form of mass confinement and murder for meat and other products. Demonstrators marched to Kato Patisia and Agios Nikolaos, dropping leaflets and shouting slogans in front of butchers and fishmongers. Before dispersing, a banner was dropped in the Cyprus park of Patision, after which the march ended.
Police in Athens attacked over 100 protesters at the Omonia Metro protesting in solidarity with the Dimitris Koufontinas hunger strike, using batons indiscriminately and forcing them back into the metro that most of them used to flee the scene. Demonstrators promptly regrouped at the Syggrou intersection, setting fires and clashing with police.
