Athenians from the Anarchist Political Organization dropped a banner at the site of Alexandros Grigoropoulos’ murder, 2 days before the anniversary of the 2008 riots that happens every year. Many fear that the police will again attempt to suppress the demonstrations as they did with the anniversary of the Athens Polytechnic Uprising on November 17th.

Over 10,000 protesters marched in the Athens district of Nea Smyrni after a couple in a park was attacked by police for supposedly violating COVID guidelines. Police attacked demonstrators with flashbangs and tear gas, which resulted in the crowd assaulting one police officer and leaving him with a nonfatal head injury. For the rest of the night, police ran around the area, brutally assaulting anyone who approached them.

Dozens of antifascists gathered for a Smash Fascism protest in Olympia, the Washington state capitol, in which slightly larger amounts of and far more aggressive Proud Boys & Back the Blue supporters gathered to attack them. Brawls with both sides using pepper spray quickly broke out. Shots were fired by a Proud Boy, with a protester injured by the bullet.
