Thousands of Albanian protesters returned to the streets for a 6th day following the police murder of 25-year-old Klodian Rasha for buying cigarettes past curfew. Demonstrators lit cars on fire and threw Molotovs at police who deployed tear gas, flashbang grenades, and water cannons in response. At least 20 arrests were made.

Protesters in the Puente Alto commune of Santiago attacked Police Station No. 66 in the Bajos de Mena neighborhood with Molotov cocktails, burning down the front of the station after the repression that took place during the wake of Francisco Martínez, the street artist murdered by police in Panguipulli.
Anarchists in Exarchia, Athens, took to the streets demanding amnesty for the political prisoners arrested during the December 6 protests on the anniversary of the murder of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos. Dozens of protesters took to the streets of Larissa in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike, marching to the city’s ancient theater and dropping banners demanding the immediate satisfaction of the hunger striker’s request to be returned to the Korydallos prison in Athens.
