Thousands of protesters in Thessaloniki marched in opposition to police repression at the Aristotle University under the guise of a new law passed by the Ministry of Education, which enables police to re-enter universities for the first time in decades after the fall of the military dictatorship.

On the 4th of October, a small group of Patriot Prayer members held an anti-BLM rally in Portland. Counterprotestors quickly arrived, with confrontations but no major fights occurring until the slightly larger BLM counterprotest pushed the right-wing group out of the city. Patriot Prayer was heavily armed with assault weapons as well.
Thousands of protesters returned to the streets of Bangkok in a second round of mobilizations against the monarchy of Thailand and the mishandling of the pandemic by Prime Minister Prayut, a general who took office in the 2014 military coup d’état. Despite police use of rubber bullets and tear gas, the crowd, angered by previous repression on August 7th, attacked and burned police posts.
Dozens of Young People in the Tunisian southern city of Tataouine have set up road blocks and marched against promised government action for employment in the marginalized region.
The unemployment rate in Tataouine currently stands at around 30%, one of the highest in the country.
In July of 2020 already, protesters managed to get into an oil production facility and to close a pipeline, which transported half of the Country’s oil. This forced the government to make concessions and promise investments in the region, but nothing serious has been done yet.
Dozens of protesters in Xanthi marched against a law passed by the Greek parliament recently reintroducing police back to universities for the first time since 1975, which had catastrophic effects after 31 people were arrested by riot police at the occupation of the rector’s office at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
