Deliveroo and UberEats workers went on strike in Rome for better working conditions in a wildcat action. This happened after the moderate national union UGL failed to negotiate for better pay. Negotiations failed with the employers’ association, called AssoDelivery, leading to the strike happening.
Protests sparked in the central Somalian town of Galkayo amid anger over missing children; they were allegedly sent to the city of Asmara in Eritrea for military training, then deployed to Ethiopia and killed in the war and genocide against the northern breakaway province of Tigray.
